Petru Roman

MR PETRU ROMAN

Mr Petru Roman is the Principal Solicitor of Roman Lawyers. He founded Roman Lawyers in September 2004. Mr Roman is a Barrister & Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria, Barrister & Solicitor to the High Court of Australia and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Mr Roman specialises in Criminal Law, Family Law, Property Law and Wills & Estate.

Mr Roman completed his Bachelor of Laws degree from the James Cook University in 1996. In 2003, Mr Roman attained the Master Degree in Economics from Soul National University. In 2003, Mr Roman also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology. In July 2009, Mr Roman Completed the Bar Reader’s Course from Queensland University of Technology.

Previously, Mr Roman worked for B & H Solicitors where assisted the principal solicitor in negligence, wills and estates, family, criminal, propriety and commercial law matters.

Mr Roman has also worked for Sawford & Voll Lawyers where he undertook legal research and attending settlements, filling documents with various courts and tribunals and assisting the Principal Solicitor in any other legal type of work.

Mr Roman is also a keen volunteer and has donated his time and expertise to various community legal services.

For the period 2010 to May 2012 (approximately 1 ½ years), he donated his time to Casey Cardinia Community Legal Service as a Volunteer Solicitor where he advised clients on general law issues one evening per month.

Between 2005 and 2008, Mr Roman donated his time to Eastern Community Legal Service, where as a Volunteer Solicitor, he advised clients on general law issues one evening per month. He also advised clients at Ringwood Magistrates Court in the Intervention Orders jurisdiction one day per week. He attended outreach program and advised on negligence, wills and estates, family, criminal, propriety and commercial law matters.

Between December 1998 and July 1999, Mr Roman assisted the solicitors of Townsville Community Legal Service where he engaged in legal research, client interviewing and preparation of administrative appeals before the Social Security Appeal Tribunal and the Administrative Appeal Tribunal.
